Designed for teachers, administrators, counselors, and support staff, this fully online, self-paced course makes it easy to assign, complete, and track.

ALTA Announcement

December 8th, 2025 1:52PM

Dear Educators,

We are pleased to share that the Dyslexia Series has been approved for continuing education credit through the Academic Language Therapy Association (ALTA). This update was made in response to a request from one of our districts, and we are pleased to offer an additional credit option for staff who require or prefer ALTA CE credit for their professional learning records.

What This Means
The Dyslexia Series will continue to offer CPE credit for all completions. ALTA CE credit is now available for courses completed on or after the official approval dates listed below:

Dyslexia 1–4: Eligible for ALTA CE credit beginning January 1, 2025
Dyslexia 5: Eligible for ALTA CE credit beginning February 20, 2025
Dyslexia 6: Eligible for ALTA CE credit beginning September 10, 2025

Completions before these dates remain eligible for CPE credit but do not qualify for ALTA CE credit.

Your certificate will include the type of credit you earned as well as the applicable approval timeframe. Please note that ALTA requires educators to follow their own submission guidelines when reporting continuing education.

Why This Matters
While not all staff need ALTA CE credit, this update supports individuals who are completing structured literacy training, pursuing academic language therapy pathways, or maintaining professional learning documentation aligned with recognized standards. It also reflects our commitment to responsive, high-quality professional development based on district feedback.

If you have questions about credit eligibility or documentation, please feel free to reach out for support.

Thank you for your continued dedication to supporting students.
